Meet Taryn Zimmerer
Taryn Zimmerer is a passionate movement artist, healer, and educator dedicated to helping others connect to their mind, body, and spirit. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance with a minor in Leadership Studies from Chapman University, where she trained and performed with renowned artists such as Julianne O’Brien, Wilson Mendieta, Will Johnston, and Jennifer Backhaus. Her studies also took her abroad to the University of Roehampton in London, where she explored Cunningham technique and improvisation, further deepening her connection to global movement practices.
In the summer of 2019, Taryn traveled to Israel to train with the Batsheva Dance Company, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, and Vertigo Dance Company, experiences that deeply influenced her evolving relationship with movement as a form of healing. She has since taught and choreographed throughout California, weaving together her love of dance with somatic exploration and wellness.
Taryn is currently pursuing a Master’s in Chinese Medicine at Yo San University, with the goal of becoming a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist by 2028. Her vision is to integrate Eastern medicine with movement, working in collaboration with therapists and healing professionals to help clients break recurring patterns and access deeper sources of healing. She offers a unique blend of practices that combine Chinese medicine, dance improvisation, breathwork, and embodied awareness.
Certified in Balanced Body and Synergetic Pilates, Taryn designs classes that prioritize breath, control, and finding personal flow. She believes the breath is the most powerful tool within the body—guiding, grounding, and expanding us into our fullest selves. In every class, breath becomes both a physical and spiritual anchor, helping students explore movement as a meditative and healing experience.
Taryn is also a certified Reiki practitioner. Through Reiki, she guides clients into deep meditation while channeling energy from a higher source to support emotional and energetic balance. Her work—whether through dance, Pilates, Reiki, or Chinese medicine—is rooted in human connection, self-discovery, and the energy that flows between us all.
At the heart of Taryn’s mission is creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered. She leads with compassion, mentorship, and a deep commitment to community. Her holistic approach encourages others to live in alignment with their body, mind, and spirit—cultivating a life that is lighter, freer, and more in tune with the natural ebb and flow of existence.

Vision for Juicy & Gentle
At Juicy & Gentle, we envision a world where healing is embodied, movement is sacred, and every individual is empowered to reconnect with their truest self. Rooted in the philosophy that softness is strength and that vitality flows from within, we guide people into deeper awareness through dance, Chinese medicine, energy work, and mindful movement.
Our vision is to create a sanctuary—both physical and energetic—where individuals are invited to slow down, listen to their bodies, and move with intention. We believe in honoring the juiciness of life—the creative, expressive, and sensual energy that flows through each of us—and pairing it with the gentleness of presence, breath, and emotional safety.

Through classes, workshops, healing sessions, and community offerings, Juicy & Gentle bridges ancient wisdom with modern embodiment practices. We see a future where holistic healing is not a luxury, but a lifestyle; where community thrives on connection, compassion, and conscious movement.
We are here to support the mind-body-spirit connection through practices that are intuitive, grounded, and lovingly human. In this space, everyone is seen, heard, and held—with the ultimate goal of living in alignment, softness, and strength.
